28 participants from Portugal, Spain, Germany & Italy will gather from the 29th of June till the 13th of July to discuss and learn about permaculture.
What are we going to talk about?
Permaculture integrates land, resources, people and the environment through mutually beneficial synergies – imitating the no waste, closed loop systems seen in diverse natural systems. Permaculture studies and applies holistic solutions that are applicable in rural and urban contexts at any scale. It is a multidisciplinary toolbox including agriculture, water harvesting and hydrology, energy, natural building, forestry, waste management, animal systems, aquaculture, appropriate technology, economics and community development.
The Permaculture Design Course was developed by Bill Mollison to teach the principles and foundations of ecological design to benefit the planet and society. The PDC is an immersion in an ethical and ecological mind/skill-set to create positive change. The 72hours format (60% theory vs 40% practical) was thought to mantain the original Bill Mollisons teachings insuring like this the trainning quality and recognition of all Permies (people who do Permaculture) in our global village.
This Youth Exchange will be focused on Permaculture and in the end of it participants will receive a PERMACULTURE DESIGN COURSE – PDC CERTIFICATE and Youth pass.
